Cambodian cashew nuts have been recognized as the best in the world due to their large size, superior quality, white color, and high nutrient content. The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) analyzed two varieties of Cambodian cashew nuts — M23 and H09 — out of four registered with the Ministry of Agriculture: M23, 09, 19, and 04. According to research and analysis, Cambodian cashew nuts are of the highest global quality. The M23 variety stands out as the largest nut in the world, featuring a creamy texture and sweet, delicious flavor. Compared to nuts from other countries such as Brazil, Vietnam, Kenya, and India, Cambodian cashews boast the highest nutrient content, including 33 grams of carbohydrates, 16 grams of sodium, and 34 grams of vitamin K per serving. In 2019, the University of Tokyo tested a sample of M23 cashew nuts and found they contained oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid that supports heart health.
